Players should be carefully introduced to the demands of the game in a controlled, organized manner moving from the simple to the complex in stages. Remember the game is the best teacher. Keep things simple. The best choices are game-like activities with simple rules played in small groups. Nothing will improve a soccer player more than these small-sided games with as many touches on the ball as possible. In addition, the players need certain social experiences to mature as a player, such as respect for the coach, opponent and referee, orderliness, friendships and fairness. The following technical skills should be found in all training sessions:

During the game, spectators and parents should be on the other side, away from the coaches and players. This will allow the coach and his players to operate in an unimpeded manner. |
